Lewis County residents are able to help others in the community Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. by participating in the annual Drive and Drop.
Onalaska school buses will be stationed at Brenda’s Country Market, Cinebar Fire Department/Community Club and Salkum Fire Department to collect donations. All food donations will be delivered to the Somma Food Bank.
Cash or checks can be made out to the Somma Food Bank, too.
Donations of unwrapped toys for kids will also be accepted, and will be distributed through the Onalaska School District Outreach program.
Recommended donations items include: canned meat, fruit or vegetables; powdered milk; flour; Jell-O or pudding; beans; pasta sauce; pancake mix; rice; cereal; chili or stew; peanut butter; pasta; coffee or tea; salsa; potatoes; toilet paper; diapers; shampoo; toothpaste; or laundry soap.
