Borst Ave. Project Update

A pot hole is seen in the center of Borst Avenue as vehicles make their way down the road in April in Centralia.

The long-awaited Borst Avenue improvement project — designed to improve pedestrian safety on the stretch of road between Centralia Middle School and Centralia High School — is set to kick off with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for June 20.

The event, held at the intersection of Borst Avenue and Scheuber Road, will start at 11 a.m. It will celebrate the start of the project, a joint effort between Lewis County and the city of Centralia. Attendees are asked to park at the Grace Foursquare Church parking lot at 3030 Borst Ave.
