Possibilities Women’s Center presents A Night of Music from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bethel Church in Chehalis at 132 Kirkland Road. Admission is free but a reservation is required. The Adna Grange hosts a potato bake lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $7, which includes the potato with toppings of sour cream, chili, bacon, broccoli, shredded cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos, black olives, cheese sauce, onions, plus salad, a beverage and dessert. ARTrails of Southwest Washington will host its annual Studio Tours all across Lewis County the third and fourth weekends of September. Participating studios will have art on display ranging from painted works to pottery and more, and participants in the tours will have a chance to interact with and meet the artists at each stop. The tours are a great way to discover Lewis County’s beauty, both natural and inspirational. Enjoy the variety of mediums in painting (pastel, oil, acrylic, watercolor), sculpture, glass, jewelry, pottery, mixed media, fiber art, carved or turned wood, basketry, enameling, collage, metal, and cement. A reception and gala will open the Studio Tours the Friday evening before the start of the tour at the Historic Centralia Train Depot, Railroad Avenue in Centralia.
A Harvest Dinner masquerade ball takes place starting 4-10 p.m. at City Farm in downtown Chehalis. This is a fundraiser by the Community Farmers Market of Chehalis to support local farmers and food access in Lewis County. It’s a Masquerade Ball so come in costume or as you are for an evening of farm to table food, live jazz music, dancing, and community building. The market is partnering with Jay Ryan of Hub City Grub, Cara Buswell from Good Stuff Catering, Callisons Inc., McFiler’s Bar and City Farm Chehalis. Doors open at 4 p.m., dinner is served at 6 p.m. with gluten free and vegan options available. There will be free mask making at Tuesday market on Sept. 17 and 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a silent auction from 4-6 p.m. and a dessert auction after dinner. Tickets can be purchased at Mackinaws, Embody Studios in Centralia, Book n’ Brush in Chehalis, and Santa Lucia Coffee.

Mycological Society Schedules October Meeting, Features Speaker on Exotic Fungi
The Southwest Washington Mycological Society has scheduled its next monthly meeting on Oct. 1 featuring speaker Daniel Winkler.
“(Winkler)l enjoys world renown in the mycological community,” according to the group. “His Mushroaming Eco-Adventures takes mushroom enthusiasts on tours around the globe in search of exotic fungi. Among other publications, he is the author of Field Guide to Edible Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest.”
