The Centralia Chehalis Vintage Auto Club will host its first ever open house event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 17543 Pendleton St. SW in Rochester. The owners of each car will be available to talk about the vehicles. The event is family friendly.

The Washington State University Master Gardeners present “Lavender: Growing, Making Wands & Sachets” from 10 a.m. to noon at the Fort Borst Park demonstration garden in Centralia. The event will also cover growing and caring for lavender and the benefits of culinary lavender.

Ride the Willapa - The fourth annual Ride the Willapa takes place Saturday and Sunday on the beautiful Willapa Hills Trail. Kick off your summer with this family-friendly bike ride that’s open to all ages and all abilities. With a total possible mileage of 62 miles — a metric century — all on a trail away from traffic. Ride the Willapa travels through beautiful scenery including forests and farms. Enjoy an overnight campout at either Rainbow Falls State Park or Willapa Hills Farm. Billetproof Northwest’s “World’s Least Important Car Show” - Billetproof is back in the Northwest for another great year. The best traditional hot rods and customs will gather at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds for a day of cars, bands, swap meet and fun. Attendance is limited to 750 vehicles, so register early. Southwest Washington Fairgrounds is located at 2555 N. National Ave. in Chehalis. Spectator entrance opens at 9 a.m. (spectators $10, free for kids under 13 and police and fire with proper ID). On Saturday night there will be a cruise in downtown Centralia. Live bands will be playing all day, and a swap meet will provide all the rusty parts you can eat. This is an event for those of us who build our own 1964 and prior traditional style rods and customs on a limited budget. 

Desert War Veterans Day at the Veterans Memorial Museum - This is a free program for veterans, friends and family, featuring a free concert by the band “Dogger” from noon to 2 p.m. A program featuring “The James Duo” of Ret. U.S. Navy Seal Cdr. Jack B. James and USAF Ret. Lt. Col. Stacey E. James is from 2-3:30 p.m. Kennedy Woods is also offering a music program. Food is provided by Hot Mess Haul. The museum is located at 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis.

Tour De Farms Music Festival and Farmers Market, in association with Ride the Willapa, is offering bluegrass performances by Whisky Deaf and Fern Hill 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Willapa Hills Farm in Chehalis. Online tickets are $15 (kids under 12 are free). Info: RideTheWillapa.com/TourDeFarms.

Musician Chris Guenther plays Harmony Lakeside RV Park with a Dance Party ‘59 Tribute to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper starting at 7 p.m. The park is located at 563 State Route 122, Silver Creek. This is a free concert. Info: 360.983.3804.

Heavy Iron Derby, Late Models, Legends and Tuners at South Sound Speedway in Rochester.
