The Cowlitz Prairie Grange will serve a pancakes and eggs or biscuits and gravy breakfast, featuring blueberry pancakes, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Cowlitz Prairie Grange at 5184 Jackson Highway in Toledo. Proceeds to go hall maintenance. Cost is $5 per person. 

Centralia’s Music in the Park is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at George Washington Park. The Dmitri Matheny Group, featuring Milo Petersen on guitar, Phil Sparks on bass, D’Vonne Lewis on drums and Dmitri Matheny on flugelhorn, will perform. 

Women Owning Woodlands Chainsaw Safety and Maintenance Workshop 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stihl NW Facility at 251 N. Hamilton Road in Chehalis. Cost is $15 per household. Women’s Self-Defense Class from Kim’s Taekwon Do, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chehalis Masonic Temple at 123 W. Main Street in Chehalis. Wear sweatpants and a T-shirt. Classes are presented by eighth-degree Grand Master Cheryl French and sixth-degree Grand Master Nancy Hull. The class is free but donations are accepted for the Human Response Network. The Napavine Funtime Festival runs all day. This is a community event to honor Princess Napawinah, the Native American princess Napavine was named for. The weekend includes lawnmower races, a car show and more highlight this festival that has brought people together in Napavine for years. Come gather for a community breakfast and take in the sights and sounds of the parade that winds down Napavine’s main street. More events are planned through the weekend. The 3rd Annual Show Your Ride Carshow returns to Centralia. This free event includes food and drinks from local food trucks, a kids area of matchbox car racing, coloring contest, and face painting, and members of the BackFire Band are back to rock the afternoon. The event takes place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cooks Hill Community Church, 2400 Cooks Hill Road.

Rails to Ales returns to Mt. Rainier Railroad. Enjoy an afternoon of summer fun, craft beer, trains, food and entertainment. Trains depart at noon and again at 4:30 p.m. Space is limited, these popular train rides do sell out. Be sure to reserve tickets in advance. Tickets include the roundtrip train ride, beer tasting tickets, souvenir mugs, refreshments, and museum admission. This event is exclusively open to passengers 21 years of age or older. The Mt. Big Rigs, Late Models, Hobby Stocks and Legends at South Sound Speedway in Rochester. Races begin at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, active military and teenagers age 13-17, $10 for children age 6-10 and free for children 5 and younger. South Sound Speedway is located at 3730 183rd Avenue SW.

Rochester’s Gate Community Club’s annual blueberry pancake breakfast is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 20 at the Historic Gate Schoolhouse at 16925 Moon Road SW in Rochester. 

The breakfast includes pancakes with blueberries from the River Blues Farm, eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee. The breakfast also includes a raffle. 

Tickets cost $6. Children under 4 and local firefighters eat for free. Raffle tickets cost $1 each or 6 for $5. More than 70 items will be raffled off, including tickets to theme parks and sporting events, firewood, gift certificates and more. 

Proceeds will benefit the upkeep of the Gate Schoolhouse.
