The Greater Lewis County Habitat for Humanity is beginning the family selection process for a new three-bedroom, two-bathroom home to be constructed later this year. 

Interested families should attend on of two orientation meetings scheduled for this month at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 2190 Jackson Highway in Chehalis.  The meetings are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 15 and 7 p.m. Feb. 21.  Families who would like to be considered but cannot attend one of those events can call and leave their name and number with Habitat for Humanity at 360-736-7158. Chehalis FFA Boosters fundraising for the Chehalis FFA Dairy Evaluation Team, 6 p.m. at the Chehalis Moose Lodge, 1400 Grand Avenue, Centralia. The team is raising money to attend an international tour, including the Royal Highland Stock Show in Edinburgh, Scotland and the Charleville Agriculture and Stock Show in Cork, Ireland. The two-week tour is from June 17 to July 1. Pre-sale tickets are $15 and are $20 at the door.
