The holiday favorite follows the plot of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, in which the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Performances take place through Dec. 15.
Ballet Theatre of Washington presents “The Nutcracker” 7 p.m. Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 13 and 2 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 14. There will be a special abridged, narrated version for younger audiences offered at 6 p.m. Dec. 12. Located at the Historic Liberty Theatre, 413 North Tower, Centralia
