Commissioners Authorize Eminent Domain to Gain Additional Right of Way in Mossyrock

The Board of Lewis County Commissioners on Monday voted to use eminent domain to gain additional right of way from two property owners in Mossyrock for a project that will include drainage improvements.

The drainage improvements on Streamside Drive and Lakeside Drive in Mossyrock were deemed necessary road improvements that will benefit the public.

The project will require permanent easements and temporary construction easements. One of the parcels, owned by R. Legacy LLC, is 1.92 acres in size. The county will need 0.14 of an acre for the project. The temporary construction easement will be .02 of an acre in size. 



The second parcel, owned by Charles Spira ,is half an acre in size. The county will need .02 of an acre for the project. The temporary construction easement will be .04 of an acre in size. 

With an unanimous vote, the commissioners instructed the county road engineer to acquire all the necessary right of way for the drainage improvement project located southwest of Mossyrock.
