Commissioners Approve Collective Bargaining Agreement With Teamsters for Juvenile Probation, Clerical Staff

The Board of Lewis County Commissioners on Monday unanimously approved a collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters Local 252 representing juvenile probation and clerical employees for the calendar years 2016 through 2019. 

According to information provided to the commission, the agreement includes no changes for 2016, and a 1.5 percent base wage adjustment and $50 increase to employer contribution for health care not to exceed $1,050 per month starting retroactively in August 2017. 

In 2018, employees will receive another 1 percent increase and a $150 increase to health contributions. In 2019, employees will again receive a 1 percent base wage increase and a further $25 increase to health contributions. 



The agreement also includes a 1 percent increase for bilingual employees and amending an education incentive. Currently, employees receiving training are required to maintain employment for 12 months. That was increased to 24 months.
