Election numbers updated Friday afternoon by the Lewis County Auditor’s Office show candidate Eric Duerst has maintained his lead over write-in incumbent candidate for Toledo City Council position 1 with 88 to 84 votes.
Incumbent Jim Fluckinger, who filed as a write-in candidate to retain his seat on the Toledo City Council’s position 1, was leading Duerst after the first two vote counts.
On a vote count last Thursday, Duerst had 51.16 percent of the vote (88 votes) to Fluckinger’s 48.84 percent (84) of votes. The vote counts did not change after additional ballots were counted Friday.
The final vote count will be released on Nov. 27, and the election is scheduled to be certified the following day.
