The Washington State Patrol is investigating an incident in which a Centralia driver reportedly struck and injured a bicyclist Saturday in Kitsap County.
The incident was reported at 7:40 p.m. Saturday on west state Route 16 near Mullinex Road east of Port Orchard.
According to a report from the State Patrol, a 2011 Kia Optima driven by Paul M. Anderson, 27, of Centralia, was merging onto the highway at Mullinex Road when a bicycle ridden by Davis China, 47, of Port Orchard, turned in front of the vehicle.
The bicyclist was injured and transported to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma.
An investigation is ongoing.
