Centralia College to Host Guest Artist Mark Tonelli for Performance, Talk

Centralia College will host guest artist Mark Tonelli at 2:30 p.m. on March 10 at Washington Hall, Room 103.

Tonelli, a musician, educator and author, will perform with the college’s jazz ensemble. He will also give a talk and answer questions regarding entrepreneurship.

“Whether your career goals include a self-proprietorship or working for an employee, Dr. Mark Tonelli’s research-based tools for developing entrepreneurial skills can help you pursue your dreams, support your family, and lead a happy life,” stated a press release.

In Tonelli’s 25-year career, he has performed on some of the largest stages in the nation and with musical legends. He has released three award-winning recordings and two instructional books through his company, MTonal Music.



He is the author for The FJH Music Company and has written numerous educational articles for major music publications and arrangements for professional and college music ensembles, stated the release.

Tonelli holds a doctorate in education from Columbia University, where his research focused on entrepreneurship in higher education, his own experience as a freelance musician and the desire to help students build sustainable careers.

He is a popular clinician and adjudicator who gives masterclasses and career development presentations at schools and conferences across the nation.
