The city councils of Centralia and Chehalis are expected to name local residents to a variety of volunteer boards during their meetings next week.

Chehalis is set to appoint Peter Hammer and Michele Gallagher to three-year terms on its Historic Preservation Commission, which works to identify, enhance and make use of historic resources throughout the city.

Hammer wrote in his application that he studied U.S. History in college and served previously on the Bothell Landmark Preservation Board. Gallagher is the design chair and board member of the Chehalis Community Renaissance Team and stated in her application that she would like to further serve the community.

Centralia is slated to appoint Mark Dulin to the city Parks and Recreation Board and Jackie Franks Jr. to the Planning Commission. Their applications materials were not included in the agenda packet for the upcoming meeting of the city council.
