Editor’s Best Bet: Turkey Trot Fun Run Planned for Thanksgiving Day
Thorbeckes ADAPT Performance, Chehalis, is sponsoring a Thursday Turkey Trot Fun Run.
The Thanksgiving Day event will include both a 3.1 mile and 5k run and walk. It will start at Thorbeckes Adapt Performance, 91 SW Chehalis Ave.
Cost is $15 per person (includes one T-shirt) or $25 per family (includes two T-shirts; additional shirts are $5 each. After Nov. 19, the registration fee is $25 per person or $35 for a family.
Same-day registration will begin at 7:45 p.m.
Raffle tickets will cost $1 per ticket.

Immanuel Lutheran Church is hosting a free Thanksgiving dinner 1-4 p.m. on Thursday.
For those who need a ride to the church, transportation will be provided from three different Centralia locations: Bethel Downtown (formerly Destiny Christian Center), Gather Church and the Peppermill. Those using this service will be taken back to their pickup location after the dinner.

Community Band to Perform at Centralia College
The Lewis County Community Band will be performing at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Corbet Theatre on the Centralia College campus. The concert will feature selections by Steven Bryant, Ralph Vaughn Williams, Morten Lauridsen and more.
The Lewis County Community Band has been directed by Louie Blaser and Karl Scarborough since fall quarter of 2007. Blaser teaches band for Centralia School District, and Karl Scarborough teaches band and choir for the Winlock School District.
The band is comprised of approximately 45 local wind and percussion musicians from Lewis, Thurston, Pacific and Cowlitz counties. Though geared toward adult musicians, the band is also open to college and high school musicians.
