Film on Climate Change Coming to Methodist Church

“This Changes Everything,” an attempt to reimagine the vast challenge of climate change, will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Centralia.

Directed by Avi Lewis and produced in conjunction with Naomi Klein’s best-selling book of the same name, “This Changes Everything” was filmed in nine countries and five continents over four years.

The film presents seven portraits of communities on the climate change front lines, from Montana’s Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond.

Throughout the film Klein builds to the idea that we can seize the existential crisis of climate change to transform our economic system into something radically better.

The Lewis County Community Conversations event is sponsored by Fire Mountain Chapter Fellowship of Reconciliation and Veterans for Peace Chapter 109.
