Oakville Plans Independence Day Events

Oakville will be celebrating Independence Day on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. in downtown Oakville. The theme will be “Remember Yesterday, Dream About Tomorrow, Live for Today.”

There will be a parade, artists, craftspeople, food booths and live entertainment.

Other events will include the Hoop it Up 3 on 3 Tournament, Classic Car Show and Motorcycle Display, Oakville Junior Rodeo, Kids Zone featuring bouncy houses, kids’ art activity tables, a movie in the park (at dusk) and much more.

In addition, there will be a beer garden.

A revival is being held at Divine Healing Community Church, Chehalis, July 8-22.

Nightly meetings will be held starting at 7 p.m.

Featured at the revival will be Pastors Dusty Guy, Bruce Swart, Dean Warner and Truman Santiago; Gospel singer William Harness, The Pomeroys; and evangelist Charles Sivley.
