Centralia to Host Annual Summerfest Celebration
Centralia’s Summerfest brings people from all over the Lewis County area together for July 4, the area’s largest Independence Day celebration.
Events include the annual I Ran From the Cops run/walk, free pancake breakfast at Fort Borst Park, demolition derby at the Fairgrounds, hay rides, tours of the Borst Home historical site, historical military displays and much more. Activities for the entire family at Fort Borst Park begin at 10 a.m.
The annual Summerfest Parade gets underway downtown in the afternoon, generally about 4 p.m.
Pe Ell Plans Big Fireworks Show on Fourth of July
The streets in Pe Ell will be closed starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday for the Fourth of July parade, which is at noon. There will be vendors, floats, food booths and a balloonist.
The fireworks will take place at 10 p.m. at the Pe Ell school. A group in Pe Ell has been raising funds for the fireworks show since last October. The town in western Lewis County is going to set off $4,295 worth of fireworks.
