Bridge Replacement Will Cause US 12 Delays East of White Pass

A bridge replacement project near Rimrock Lake will cause delays for drivers heading east of White Pass, the Washington State Department of Transportation announced.

The agency’s work to replace the Wildcat Creek Bridge, which was built in 1936, will close the Rimrock tunnel. Instead of taking US 12 north of the lake, drivers will have to detour to Tieton Reservoir Road south of the lake, a 25 minute delay.

Construction started Friday and is expected to last until Oct. 8, at which point the tunnel will reopen.
