Get ready to choose your elected officials.

The Lewis County Auditor’s Office will be mailing about 43,500 ballots on Wednesday to all registered voters for the Nov. 3 election.

An additional 275 military and overseas ballots were mailed in September.

If ballots have not been received by Oct. 24, voters should contact the Elections Department for replacement ballots.

Elections Department officials can be reached at (360) 740-1278, (360) 740-1164 or toll free in Lewis County at 1 (800) 562-6130, ext. 1278 or ext. 1164.

Replacements ballots can also be picked up at the Auditor’s Office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Voters can also go online to www.myvote.wa.gov, enter information, choose “get myballot packet,” print the ballot and return it to the Auditor’s Office.

Voters who have moved should call the Auditor’s Office to update information.

If a forwarding order is in effect, the ballot will be forwarded.

Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3; any with a postal cancellation date after that will not be valid.

Voters who wait until Election Day to send their ballots should ensure the postal clerk stamps it with a Nov. 3 cancellation stamp.

Ballot drop boxes are open until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Drop boxes are open at the Lewis County Courthouse in Chehalis from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 3; the Twin Cities Senior Center in Chehalis 24 hours and until 8 p.m. Nov. 3; and the Morton Senior Center in Morton 24 hours and until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
