G.I. Jobs magazine has designated Centralia College as a Military Friendly School after a survey the magazine conducted of more than 8,000 colleges and universities nationwide.

According to G.I. Jobs magazine, “Centralia College is among the schools that are making the grade by offering scholarships, staff, military credit and other services to those who served. The 2012 list of Military Friendly Schools was compiled through extensive research and a data driven survey of more than 8,000 schools nationwide.” The G.I. Jobs website, www.militaryfriendlyschools.com, features interactive tools and search tools to assist military veterans with their school decisions.

The recognition indicates Centralia College is among the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools doing the most to embrace military members and veterans as students, the college said.

This is the second year Centralia College has attained Military Friendly status. The college currently enrolls over 200 veterans.
