Master Gardeners Plan March Classes

Interested in learning more about your home garden with free classes? “Gardening For Everyone” is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Centralia College, Washington Hall. 

Classes will include “Basic Gardening 101,” “Choosing the Right Tool for the Right Job,” “Pruning a Low Maintenance Perennial Garden,” “Grapes 101,” “Organic Gardening,” “Wild Edibles,” “Winter Gardening” and “Tackling Tough Weeds in the Home Landscape.”

On March 14 at  Providence Place Demo Garden in Chehalis, Master Gardeners will be hosting a hands-on class on “Gardening in Raised Beds.” Have limited space and interested in getting the most “square foot” out of your garden? This class is for you. It will be at 10 a.m. in the garden.

The Salkum Library Demo Garden will host a class March 21 on “Growing Tomatoes in Lewis County.” Want to know the secret to a growing great tomatoes? Join the group at 10 a.m. at the Salkum Library and learn from some of the best Master Gardeners.



The purpose of the WSU Extension Master Gardeners program is to provide public education in home gardening and environmental stewardship generated from research at WSU and other university systems.
