Centralia Police Bump Up Patrols to Deter Gang-Related Graffiti

Centralia police will be doing additional patrols in an attempt to battle a recent boost in gang-related graffiti throughout the city.

The police department has received between 10 and 15 reports of graffiti during the past week, said Centralia Sgt. Carl Buster. Most of the incidents have occurred on Tower Avenue.

“We are ramping up patrols in the area in response to the graffiti,” Buster said.

Police have suspects identified whom they believe to be responsible for the vandalism, and they are actively seeking them, he said.
