A 47-year-old Longview woman died following a crash that involved four motorcycles on state Route 6 about 4 miles west of Pe Ell Saturday.

Teresa F. Jessee was a passenger on a black Honda VTX180 driven by 41-year-old Shawn M. Jessee, also of Longview, when the crash occurred at about 2:05 p.m.

Their motorcycle was traveling eastbound near milepost 24 with three other motorcycles behind them. According to the State Patrol, Shawn Jessee lost control and went off the roadway while trying to negotiate a lefthand turn, striking a guardrail.

Both Shawn Jessee and Teresa Jessee were ejected from the motorcycle, which traveled back across the roadway and collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by 56-year-old Castle Rock resident Ronald L. Carr, ejecting him into the eastbound lanes.

Then, a third motorcycle driven by 50-year-old Castle Rock resident Cheryl F. Palm lost control, ejecting her on to the roadway as well. Palm was struck by a motorcycle driven by 57-year-old William Brown of Clatskanie.

Teresa Jessee died in the crash, while Shawn Jessee and Carr were transported to Providence Centralia Hospital.

Palm, the woman who was struck by a motorcycle, was airlifted to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital in Portland, according to the State Patrol.

William Brown and his passenger, Laura Brown, received less serious injuries but were not transported from the scene.

The crash is still under investigation, according to the State Patrol.
