The city of Centralia has received a $25,000 reimbursable grant from the Washington Cities Insurance Authority to repair the city’s sidewalks.
The money is a risk reduction grant given by the Insurance Authority.
City staff will use the money to repair or replace the most damaged sections of sidewalk in town. The funds are required to be spent by the city before Dec. 31, 2015.
The grant information was brought before the Centralia City Council on Tuesday and approved unanimously as part of the consent agenda.
