Drunk Driving Suspected in Crash Near Toledo

A 21-year-old Chehalis man was injured and his car was totaled after a Washington State Patrol report says he crashed while driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

According to the State Patrol, Ivan W. Case was speeding southbound on Jackson Highway 1 mile north of Toledo when he crashed at about 4:55 a.m. Sunday.

Case failed to negotiate a curve at Plomondon Road, left the roadway in his silver 2009 Honda Accord and stopped in a ditch.



Case was wearing his seat belt at the time of the wreck. He was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital. He faces a DUI charge, and his car was impounded, according to the State Patrol.
