The Centralia College Foundation is looking for donations to buy new instruments and machines for certain classes in the science building of the school.
Many of the instruments are of considerable cost, and the college doesn’t have enough in its budget to purchase the items, according to a press release from the foundation.
Some of the instruments include a hypsometer, which is a laser measuring device, and a Digimelt, an apparatus that determines the melting point of chemicals.
According to the press release, the donor’s name will, whenever possible, appear engraved on a small brass plate attached to the instrument they help the foundation purchase.
Most of the instruments needed range in price from a little over $100 to $800.
For information on how to donate to the Centralia College Foundation call Julie Johnson at 360-736-9391 ext. 516.
