Dance School Performing at Local Elementaries

The Southwest Washington Dance Center has launched its annual school Dance Tour, which began May 22. This year’s production of “Alice in Wonderland” will continue through June 5.

The tour is for children in Lewis, south Thurston and Grays Harbor counties. This year’s production has original choreography by several instructors from Southwest Washington Dance Center and is directed by the primary choreographer, Katie Reed. The production also has original costumes created by Wendy Hill.

More than 33 dancers from SWDC are participating in tour. “Alice in Wonderland” will also be performed at the SWDC Spring Dance Concert at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 18, and 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Centralia College’s Corbet Theatre.

Friday — Boistfort Elementary, Cascade Elementary and Oakville Elementary



Thursday, June 4 — Onalaska Elementary, St. Joseph School and Fords Prairie Elementary

Friday, June 5 — R.E. Bennett Elementary, Mossyrock Elementary and Morton Elementary

The Dance Center, a local non-profit school of dance, has been part of the local arts community for over 33 years.
