DUI Crash Near Pe Ell Hospitalizes Doty Man

A 63-year-old Doty man was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital Tuesday morning after crashing his truck off of state Route 6 about 2.5 miles east of Pe Ell, according to the Washington State Patrol.

John L. Case was driving westbound at 10:06 a.m. when he lost control of his 1997 Ford Ranger near milepost 32 and veered right off the roadway, totalling his truck into a grassy embankment.

Case is charged with driving while under the influence, according to the State Patrol. He also had a suspended driver’s license.



Case had no passengers and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Case suffered from neck and shoulder pain. He was wearing a seat belt.
