Centralia Couple Arrested After Allowing Toddler to Inhale Pot

Police arrested a Centralia couple Friday afternoon for allegedly allowing a toddler to inhale marijuana smoke from a bong, according to Centralia police.

The 24-year-old mother, Rachelle L. Braaten, and the child’s 25-year-old father, Tyler J. Lee, also of Centralia, were arrested after police served a search warrant at 2:25 p.m. on their residence on the 1400 block of Delaware Avenue, according to a Centralia police press release.

The child is 22 months old.



Police seized 40 marijuana plants as well as three firearms.

Police were informed that Braaten was allowing the child to inhale marijuana smoke from a bong, according to the release. The boy and his sibling were taken into custody of Child Protective Services, according to the release.

Brataan was booked into jail for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance to a minor and for manufacture of marijuana, according to the release. Lee was booked into jail for manufacture of marijuana and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.
