Lewis County property owners have until Thursday to pay the first half of their 2015 property taxes, the Lewis County Treasurer's Office said in a press release.
The taxes can be paid through the treasurer’s website at www.lewiscountywa.gov/treasurer.
Payments made by electronic checks will be charged an addition $1.50. Credit card or debit card payments are accepted, but with an additional fee as well.
Mailed payments must be postmarked by April 30, 2015, to avoid interest and penalties that are applied under state law’s mandate.
The treasurer's office also accepts payments in person at the office itself or in the drop box located just outside its the front door on the second floor of the Lewis County Courthouse at 351 NW North St., Chehalis. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
