Applications to Open This Week for $50K in Grants From United Way of Lewis County

United Way of Lewis County is set to open its first round of grant funding for 2019 this week, according to a press release from the organization.

United Way’s first round of grant funding comes from the General Fund grant, and will make $50,000 available to nonprofits. This money will help fund programs that assist individuals and  families in Lewis County.

“Programs that will be chosen for grants should be innovative and foster collaboration, with the specific goal of giving individuals and families a hand up,” reads a press release from United Way of Lewis County.



According to the press release, United Way of Lewis County’s Board of Directors voted to make grants available through two different grant processes in 2019. The board approved $100,000 worth of grants for 2019.

Applications are only online and must be completed no later than 4 p.m. on Jan. 17, 2019. Nonprofits can find a complete list of funding criteria at https://www.lewiscountyuw.com/form/agency-application. United Way of Lewis County will begin accepting applications Friday, Dec. 14.
