This year, for the first time in 40 years, the annual potluck for Weyerhaeuser Co. employees who worked in Cowlitz and Lewis counties will take place on the first Saturday in November. The potluck begins at noon Nov. 2 at the Cowlitz Prairie Grange just north of Toledo. It is open to anyone who has ever worked for Weyerhaeuser. Spouses may attend too.
“It’s just to get together and visit about the old times,” said John McEwen, 83, of Toledo, who retired after 32 years with Weyerhaeuser and inherited organization of the annual potluck this year.
