The Chehalis School District will host a grand opening celebration for W.F. West High School’s new STEM wing at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29.
The ceremony will start in the W.F. West commons with special guest speakers and will be followed with a tour of the STEM — which stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics — wing.
Refreshments will be served.
The 16,000-square-foot building was funded by a $5.5 million state grant. According to previous reporting by The Chronicle, it includes six labs, two classrooms, a cell culture lab and a scanning electron microscope lab.
