West Thurston Regional Fire Authority Levy Passing

The West Thurston Regional Fire Authority’s request for a maintenance and operations levy in Tuesday’s primary is passing in the Rochester voting district with 71.65 percent of the vote and with the Littlerock voting district with 65.42 percent of the vote, according to the Thurston County Auditor’s Office.

The levy spans a three-year period with rates of approximately $1.09 per $1,000 of assessed value for 2020, $1.06 the following year and $1.03 the year after. All collected funds would go toward maintaining the current staffing level and costs and of operations, according to the RFA. 

The next vote count will be released Wednesday afternoon.
