Warrant Issued in Lewis County Cyberstalking Case

A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of a Tacoma man who failed to appear Wednesday afternoon to a hearing in Lewis County Superior Court after he was accused of cyberstalking.

Antwaun M. James, 21, is accused of sending violent threats to a Lewis County woman over Facebook’s Messenger application.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office deputies first started investigating the incident in May, after a Centralia woman said she felt threatened by messages James — who knows the victim — was sending her.

The woman sent deputies screen shots of the comments James allegedly made which included threats to kill and mutilate the victim.

James was issued a summons to appear in Lewis County Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon, but failed to show up. Judge Andrew Toynbee then issued a warrant for his arrest, to be held without bond.
