A Vader man driving a dump truck was injured Thursday after a rear-end collision on northbound Interstate 5 north of La Center in Clark County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision was reported at 4:28 p.m. on Thursday at milepost 18 of Northbound I-5. Traffic was slowed for an earlier collision when a 2017 Mack dump truck driven by Steven Stover, 52, of Castle Rock, braked for traffic and was hit from behind by the second vehicle, a 1996 Mack dump truck driven by Douglas Clough, 38, of Vader.

Stover was cited for driving too fast for conditions, according to the State Patrol.

Both drivers were injured and transported to area hospitals
