Lewis County Fire District 6 is reporting that two people died in a crash on state Route 6 today.

Lewis Co. Fire District 6, with assistance from the City of Chehalis Fire Department, responded to reports of a two vehicle collision near State Route 6 and Highway 603 outside Chehalis just after 4:50 p.m. this evening. Initial reports stated the collision may have been head on or a t-bone incident.
Arriving crews immediately confirmed the deaths of two occupants as well as one patient in serious condition who was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital.
State Route 6 remains closed in both directions at this time and is expected to remain closed for the next few hours. The Washington State Patrol is on scene investigating the incident.
