Thurston County Sex Offender Registers as Transient

A level 1 sex offender recently registered as a transient in Thurston County, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office. 

John R. Guyer, Jr., 33, is required to register as a sex offender due to a 2008 conviction for third-degree rape of a child in Thurston County Superior Court. 

At 23 years old, Guyer was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl. 

He was sentenced to 20 months in prison with all but three months suspended as part of a Special Sex Offender Sentencing Alternative agreement for 36 to 48 months of community supervision. 

Guyer is described as a white male standing 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
