Three people are facing felony theft charges in Lewis County Superior Court after being arrested Sunday on suspicion of hundreds of dollars worth of thefts from area retail stores, according to court documents.

Pierce A. Anderson, 28, of Auburn, Matthew J. Moravetz, 30, of Tacoma and Mandi Quintana, 31, of Tacoma were all charged Monday with one count of second degree organized retail theft. Quintana was released on $5,000 unsecured bail, Moravetz was granted $10,000 bail and Anderson was granted $5,000 bail. Moravetz and Quintana had recently moved to Pierce County from New Mexico.

According to court documents, police responded at 1:58 p.m. Sunday to the 1300 block of Lum Road at the Centralia Factory Outlets for a report of thefts. Three suspects reportedly left the area in a four-door truck with a green tarp over the back.

Officers saw a truck matching the description and made contact with the driver, Quintana. Moravetz and Anderson were passengers, according to court documents.

Moravetz reportedly admitted to taking clothing and shoes from two stores. Anderson reportedly denied being involved in thefts, but was wearing a Nike sweatshirt with the tags still attached. Quintana was also reportedly wearing a new pair of Nike shoes, and allegedly admitted to the theft.

Officers searched the truck and found merchandise allegedly taken from four stores. Video from at least one of the stores showed footage of thefts, according to court documents. All together, the alleged thefts totaled $9.26.66.
