Three people face two felonies each after authorities say they tried to burglarize a barn and a home, but were captured on camera and identified by Facebook users.

Nathanial J. Spalding, 22, of Rochester, Anna L. Lowery, 31, of Centralia and Jacquelyn J. Bray, 20, of Tenino have all been charged with second-degree attempted burglary and attempted residential burglary.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a Lewis County resident reported on Sept. 6 that he had a number of game cameras set around his house and barn. One of them, he said, had been stolen. Meanwhile, the others depicted two males and two females stalking around his house and barn.

One of the suspects was depicted on a camera attempting to force open a barn door, however unsuccessfully. Some tools, a gas can and an air hose were all stolen.

The victim didn’t know any of the people in the camera images, but someone posted an image on Facebook from the game camera, and within 15 minutes, had received the name of three people in the photo.

Deputies interviewed Lowery, who said she and the group had tried to gain entrance in both the barn and the house, but were unsuccessful on both attempts.

Court documents read: “She said they were trying to steal items to support their heroin habits.”

Also during the interview, authorities learned the name of the fourth suspect. By Monday evening, charges in this case hadn’t been filed against an individual with the name Lowery provided.

During a hearing in Lewis County Superior Court Monday afternoon the three suspects appeared in custody. Court commissioner Tracy Mitchell placed Spalding on a $10,000 cash bond, Lowery on a $10,000 cash bond and Bray on a $5,000 cash bond.
