Centralia Police Department

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

• At 9:35 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a stolen vehicle found in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Alder Street.

Medication Stolen

• At 10:33 a.m. on Friday, medication was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue.

Taxi Rider Runs Away from Fare

• At 10:49 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft of services in the 600 block of South Iron Street. A man reportedly took a taxi from Lacey to Centralia, got out at a residence on Iron Street and ran away from the taxi without paying the driver.

Vehicle Prowler Takes Change

• At 11 a.m. on Friday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 600 block of Richmond Avenue. Change was taken from the car’s ashtray.

One Arrested After Assault Report

• At 2:44 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a fourth-degree assault in the 3200 block of Fords Prairie Avenue. Jamie J. Leyde, 28, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.

Wreath Taken from Door

• At 9:43 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report that a wreath was stolen from a front door of a residence in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue.

Shoplifting Suspect Arrested and Released

• At 4:12 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of shoplifting in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. A suspect was allegedly trying to hide merchandise in his clothing. Joshua L. Harris, 45, was arrested and released on suspicion of shoplifting.

 

Chehalis Police Department

Vehicle Prowls

• At 10:23 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a vehicle prowl in the 500 block of Southwest 11th Street. An MP3 player was missing. 

• At 10:03 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a vehicle prowl on Southwest Fifth Street in Chehalis.

• At 12:16 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a vehicle prowl in the 400 block of Southeast Third Street.

One Arrested on Indecent Exposure Charge

• At 11:45 a.m. on Friday, police received a report that a man had exposed himself to high school girls on their way to school in the 500 block of Southwest 16th Street. Harold W. White, 79, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.

Trespasser Reported

• At 11:45 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a person allegedly trespassing in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard. No arrests were made. 

Man Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 9:31 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of an assault in the 900 block of Southwest 21st Street. Joshua J. Williams, 36, of Toledo, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

Assault Report Under Investigation

• At 11:02 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of an assault in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street at Penny Playground in Chehalis. The report is under investigation.

Man to be Mailed Citation for Theft

• At 10:59 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a third-degree theft in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Police plan to mail a citation to a 35-year-old Chehalis man.

Meds, Walker Taken

• At 8:21 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a third-degree theft in the 1000 block of North National Avenue. A woman reported medications and a walker were stolen.

Cellphone Taken

• At 6:30 a.m. on Monday, police received a report of a theft of a cellphone in the 500 block of Southwest Parkland Drive.

 

Morton/Mossyrock Police Department

Juvenile Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 2:47 a.m. on Jan. 27, a juvenile girl was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault in the 200 block of Second Street in Morton. 

Harassment Over Social Media Reported

• At 2 a.m. on Jan. 25, police responded to the 300 block of East State Street in Mossyrock to a report of harassment over social media. A woman reported her estranged husband was making threats.

• At 10:55 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of harassment over social media in Morton. The incident is under investigation. 

Man Booked on Meth Charge

• At 1:08 p.m. on Monday, police arrested Robert L. Huey, 27, on two outstanding municipal court warrants in the 1000 block of South Tower Avenue. They also arrested him on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. 

Man Booked After Allegedly Breaking Windows

• At 3:59 p.m. on Monday, police arrested Mark A. Silva, 35, of Centralia, on suspicion of second-degree malicious mischief after he allegedly smashed windows in a parked car in the 1100 block of J Street in Centralia.

 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Fuel Taken from Trucks

• Fuel was reportedly stolen from two trucks in the parking lot of Cardinal Glass in the 500 block of Avery Road West. About 25 gallons of fuel were taken in the early morning hours of Jan. 24, according to the Sheriff’s Office. 

Man Charged with Bringing Marijuana Into Jail

• Aaron G. Stubbs, 35, of Seattle, was arrested at 2 p.m. Friday on suspicion of bringing contraband into the Lewis County Jail. A corrections officer reportedly found latex gloves of a green, leafy substance that smelled like marijuana tucked into Stubbs’ underwear. 

Burglary at Fifth-Wheel Reported

• The Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary Sunday at a residential fifth-wheel trailer in the 200 block of Guerrier Road in Chehalis. An Xbox One, a white and a black Xbox, and a green and black CD case with approximately 60 CDs were reported stolen. The items are valued at an estimated $880.
