Sirens: Women Arrested For Vacuum Theft; 15 Year Olds Accused of MIPs; Deputies Chase, Arrest Onalaska Man

Possible DUI Reported

• At 12:01 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a 1990s Honda Accord driving erratically on Jackson Highway in Chehalis.

Shed Burglarized

• At 3:16 p.m. on Wednesday, a burglary was reported to a locked shed in the 700 block of West Fifth Street.

Two Thurston County Women Arrested After Vacuum Theft

• Tabitha R. Bonfield, 32, of Lacey, and Emily A. Smith, 27, of Olympia, were arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. They were accused of stealing a $178 vacuum cleaner.

Two 15 Year Olds Referred for Minor in Possession Charges

• Two 15-year-old Chehalis boys were referred to Lewis County Juvenile Court Wednesday on suspicion of minor in possession charges. At 8:23 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report of a several teens trying to carry another passed-out teen near the intersection of McFadden Avenue and Eighth Street in Chehalis. Officers arrived to find the boy who was passed out had a head injury and was bleeding. It was later determined that he had a blood-alcohol level of .306, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The injured boy was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital. The injured boy and another 15-year old boy are being referred for minor in possession charges.

Fireworks Reported

• At 8:41 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a person setting off fireworks in a dry field in the area of Chehalis Avenue and Third Street.

Trailer Full of Appliances Reported Stolen

• At 10:48 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a stolen 14-foot enclosed trailer filled with appliances stolen in the 400 block of Northeast Division Street. 

Vehicle Keyed, Light Broken

• At 7:39 p.m. Thursday, police received a report of a vehicle that had been keyed. One of the vehicle’s lights was also broken.

 

Centralia Police Department

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Trespassing

• Steward C. Campbell, 52, a transient, was arrested and released on suspicion of criminal trespassing at 10:25 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue in Centralia.

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Domestic Violence Assault

• Logan P. Rodgers, 26, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, at 11:40 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Jefferson Street.

Woman Arrested After Alleged Malicious Mischief

• Misty D. Hughes, 35, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday in the 700 block of South Rock Street.

Dog Reported Stolen

• At 3:19 p.m. Thursday, police received a report of a dog stolen from a yard in the 600 block of K Street. The owner reported the dog was chained up in the yard. 

Man Arrested After Officers Find Meth

• Jeff D. Prindle, 29, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine at 8:48 p.m. on Thursday in the 700 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia. Officers contacted Prindle after they recognized that he had an outstanding warrant in Centralia Municipal Court. Officers found methamphetamine in his possession when searching Prindle.

 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Driver Arrested After Chase

• Darren S. Carmen, 46, of Onalaska, was arrested at 6 p.m. Thursday after a leading a Lewis County sheriff’s deputy on a brief chase on Middle Fork Road in Onalaska. At 5:56 p.m. Thursday, a deputy saw a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado speed past him near the intersection of Birchfield Parkway and Middle Fork Road. The truck then crossed the center line numerous times, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over, and the vehicle accelerated. The vehicle skidded off the road near the intersection of Kruger Road and Middle Fork Road. The vehicle was totaled, and a county sign was damaged. Carmen was arrested on suspicion of attempting to elude a police officer, driving with a suspended license and failing to use an ignition interlock device, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Randle Man Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

• Joseph P. Kelly, 41, of Randle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and for an outstanding Oregon warrant at 1 a.m. Friday on Interstate 5 near milepost 68.

Brush Fires

• At 8:43 p.m. on Thursday, a brush fire was reported near the intersection of Sanderson Road and Jackson Highway in Chehalis.

• At 8:50 a.m. on Thursday, a brush fire was reported near the intersection of Saint Lawrence Drive and Middle Fork Road in Onalaska.
