Sirens: Woman Revived With Narcan; Man Cited for Huffing Fumes

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Injury Accidents

• At 9:26 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 600 block of South Pearl Street for a two-vehicle collision. Minor injuries were reported and the at-fault driver was issued an infraction.

• At 5:37 p.m. Friday, police responded to the intersection of First Street and Tower Avenue for a two-vehicle collision. Minor injuries were reported and the at-fault driver was issued an infraction.

• At 6:13 p.m. Friday, police responded to the intersection of Mellen Street and Airport Road for a two-vehicle collision with minor injuries. Both drivers claimed to have had a green light. No other witnesses were on hand to advise further.

Vehicle Prowls

• At 10:33 a.m. Friday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 2400 block of West Reynolds Avenue. Someone broke a window and a stole Bluetooth headphones.

• At 10:26 a.m. Saturday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue. A purse was stolen.

 

Hit and Runs

• At 12:41 p.m. Friday, police responded to a hit and run involving a parked vehicle in the 400 block of East Summa Street.

• At 7:39 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a hit and run involving a parked car in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue.

• At 8:51 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Johnson Road for a hit and run collision. The suspect vehicle was described as a bright blue truck.

 

Police Arrest,

Refer Meth Suspects

• At 4:41 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 1400 block of Crescent Avenue and referred a 43-year-old Centralia woman to the prosecutor’s office on suspicion of possession of meth.

• At 4:56 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested James R. Baas, 43, a transient on suspicion of possession of meth.

 

Unconscious Woman Found on Road, Revived with Narcan

• At 7:18 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the intersection of Tower and Fremont avenues where a woman was unconscious on the road. Police deployed a dose of Narcan, and the woman woke up. She was transported to the hospital.

 

Man Cited for Huffing Fumes

• At 7:08 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 200 block of North Diamond Street and cited Brian D. Fortune, 32, of Centralia on suspicion of inhaling toxic fumes.

 

Police Respond to

Shooting Complaint

• At 3:34 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the area of Silver and Chestnut streets for a shooting complaint. Officers didn’t find evidence of actual gunfire in the area.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

Hit and Run

• At 10:15 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue for a hit and run.

 

Person Arrested for DUI Following Crash

• At 2:14 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Cody D. Craig, 24, of Chehalis on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Person Screams, Throws Things at Business’ Patrons

• At 3:27 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue where a woman had been screaming and throwing things at the patrons of a business.

 

Vehicle Prowls

• At 12:13 a.m. Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard.

• At 8:21 a.m. Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1600 block of Southwest Grandview Avenue.

  

Theft

• At 4:44 p.m. Sunday, a theft of a cellphone was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

Sheriff’s Office

Investigating Burglary

• At 9:40 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 100 block of State route 506, Toledo, where a burglar stole multiple unspecified items from a residence.

 

Garage Door

Damaged By Vehicle

• At 6 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue, Mineral where a garage door and flower beds at a residence appeared to have been damaged by a vehicle.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 227 inmates, with 191 in general population, 34 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 159 were male and 32 were female and of WERC inmates, 30 were male and four were female. A total of 33 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
