Sirens: Woman Booked for Allegedly Stealing Pepperoni; Suspect Accused of Assaulting Nurse

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Thefts

• At 2:20 p.m. Friday, a theft of four jackets was reported from a business in the 1400 block of Lum Road. An unknown male suspect was seen fleeing the store, holding the stolen jackets.

• At 2:30 a.m. Sunday, a theft of a debit card was reported in the 100 block of West Magnolia Street.

• At 12:22 p.m. Sunday, a man stole a cart full of groceries in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 3:14 p.m. Sunday, a theft of a cellphone was reported from a business in the 1300 block of Lum Road.

• At 5:27 p.m. Sunday, a theft of a solar-powered motion light was reported in the 1500 block of Belmont Avenue.

 

Driver Booked for Suspended License

• At 1:52 p.m. Friday, police responded to the intersection of Centralia College Boulevard and King Street and arrested Blake D. Hanson, 28, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree driving on a suspended license.

 

Hit and Runs

• At 9:24 a.m. Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 3200 block of Galvin Road. A vehicle backed into a parked vehicle and then fled the scene.

• At 6:33 p.m. Saturday, a hit and run was reported at Belmont and Harrison avenues.

 

Man Referred for Assault During Warrant Arrest

• At 11:28 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1100 block of K Street and arrested Michael R. Risling, 48, of Centralia on an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant. During the arrest, he was referred to the prosecutor’s office on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Suspect Summoned for Violating Protection Order

• At 3:46 p.m. Saturday, police issued a summons to a 59-year-old Centralia resident to appear in court for allegedly violating a no contact order.

 

House’s Window Damaged

• At 5:31 p.m. Saturday, a caller in the 1100 block of Borthwick Street reported damage to a residence’s window.

 

Police Arrest Assault Suspect

• At 9:16 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 2800 block of Russell Road and arrested Richard W. King II, 42, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

Suspect Accused of Assaulting Nurse

• At 12:05 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road and arrested Brycen A. Friedley, 18, of Chehalis on suspicion of third-degree assault after Friedley allegedly attacked a nurse while being treated.

 

Driver Cited for Suspended License

• At 1:21 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and cited a 22-year-old Kelso resident on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license.

 

DUI Suspect Booked

• At 12:42 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 1300 block of Lum Road and arrested Jeffrey A. Brooks, 56, of Centralia on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Woman Booked for Allegedly Stealing Pepperoni

• At 3:14 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and arrested Kimberly R. Terrell, 41, of Chehalis on suspicion of third-degree theft. Terrell allegedly stole a package of pepperoni from a store.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

Vehicle’s Window Shattered

• At 8:47 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 10 block of Northeast Cascade Avenue where a caller reported someone broke out a vehicle’s window. Nothing appeared to be stolen.

 

Hit and Runs

• At 4:43 p.m. Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue.

• At 10:24 p.m. Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

• At 3:30 p.m. Sunday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Police Arrest DUI Suspect

• At 12:49 a.m. Saturday, police responded to Parkland Drive and Interstate Avenue and arrested Joseph A. Christian, 37, of Cordova, Alaska on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Business Finds Fake Bill

• At 5:23 p.m. Saturday, police were requested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue, to a business that found a counterfeit $100 bill. They couldn’t advise who passed the bill, or where it had come from.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 6:56 p.m. Saturday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Man Refuses to Leave Bathroom

• At 11:27 p.m. Saturday, police were requested in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard to remove a man who was refusing to leave a business’s bathroom. The man had been there since 10 p.m., the business’s staff said.

 

Police Book Teen For Malicious Mischief

• At 12:44 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 300 block of South Market Boulevard and arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief — domestic violence.

 

Theft

• At 5:06 p.m. Sunday, a theft of a cellphone was reported in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street.

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

 

• At 7:15 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 400 block of Centralia Alpha Road and arrested Jordan T. Conwell, 18, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree assault — domestic violence and second-degree malicious mischief. Conwell allegedly struck a roommate with a portable torch and damaged the victim’s car and some personal property.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

 

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 233 inmates, with 197 in general population, 34 in the work ethic and restitution center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 165 were male and 32 were female and of WERC inmates, 29 were male and five were female. A total of 24 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
