Package Stolen

• At 11:49 a.m. on Friday, a package was reported stolen from a front porch of a residence in the 900 block of K Street. 

Centralia Man Booked for Protection Order Violation

• At 12:05 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 200 block of Oakview Avenue and arrested Jared B. Eder, 23, of Centralia, on suspicion of violating a protection order. 

Suspect Arrested for Assault

• At 8:13 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 600 block of South King Street and arrested Makia D. Conine, 22, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. 

Vehicle Hits Utility Pole, Flees Scene

• At 10:31 p.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 800 block of West First Street. A black passenger car reportedly struck a utility pole and left the scene. The case is under investigation. 

McCleary Suspect Booked for ID Theft

• At 9:18 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 300 block of Kearney Street and arrested Richard D. York, 49, of McCleary, on suspicion of identity theft. When police first contacted York, he allegedly gave someone else’s name. 

DUI

• At 3:50 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Enrique Ramirez-Perez, 27, of Centralia, on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

Wallet, Purse Stolen in Vehicle Prowls

• At 9:19 a.m. on Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1100 block of F Street. A wallet containing debit cards was stolen. 

• At 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 100 block of South Railroad Avenue. A purse containing a debit card was stolen. 

Clothing Stolen

• At 4:56 p.m. on Sunday, a person reported clothing stolen in the 500 block of North Pearl Street.

Chehalis Police Department

Harassment

• At 12:26 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of harassment in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street.

• At 8:02 p.m. on Saturday, harassment was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Arkansas Way. Two men reportedly made threats at a drive-through.

Man With Machete Reported

• At 4:38 p.m. on Thursday, a person in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported a man “tucked a machete under his pants and shirt.” No arrests were reported.  

Protection Order Violated

• At 4:39 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a violation of a protection order at the intersection of National Avenue and Chamber of Commerce Way.  Ramiro E. Adams, 33, of Chehalis was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order and second-degree assault, domestic violence.

Panhandler Complaint

• At 8:39 p.m. on Thursday, police received a complaint of a panhandler in the 600 block of South Market Boulevard in Chehalis. 

Possession of Methamphetamine

• At 4:12 a.m. on Friday, police responded to the 800 block of Northwest State Avenue for a report of a person trespassing on a porch. Police arrived and arrested Brian D. Veach, 37, of Seattle, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and on a state Department of Corrections warrant. 

Trespassers Reported on Railroad Tracks

• At 4:30 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of three men trespassing on railroad tracks in the 200 block of Northwest Quincy Place. 

Hit and Run

• At 2:46 a.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 1300 block of Southwest Johnson Avenue. Callers reported a person hit their neighbor’s vehicle, left the car behind and fled on foot. 

Malicious Mischief

• At 5:08 p.m. on Saturday, malicious mischief was reported in the 100 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue. 

Suspect Arrested After Report of ‘Rolling’ Assault

• At 6:43 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a report of a “rolling” domestic violence assault in a vehicle in the 100 block of Northeast Coal Creek Road. Deysi Nunez Diaz, 21, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Disorderly Man Stops Traffic

• At 7:21 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report that a man stepped out in traffic in front of a vehicle in the 600 block of North National Avenue and began making obscene gestures and yelling at the vehicle’s occupants. No arrest was reported.

Fight Reported at Bar

• At 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, a fight at a bar was reported in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue. Two men were involved. No arrests were made. 

Credit Card Fraud

• At 1:33 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of credit card fraud in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. A man in Kennewick reported his wife’s purse had recently been stolen and her credit card was used at the Rite Aid in Chehalis. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 229 inmates, including 197 in general population, 31 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 156 were male and 41 were female and of WERC inmates, 28 were male and three female.
