Sirens: Vehicle Hits Child; Suspect Booked For Allegedly Striking Someone With Vehicle

Vehicle Damaged in Parking Lot

• At 11:36 a.m. Monday, a caller in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue reported damage to their vehicle as it sat in a parking lot. The caller said it appeared as though someone struck it with an object.

Suspect Booked for Allegedly Striking Someone with Vehicle

• At 2:39 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to Harrison Avenue and Johnson Road and arrested Alicia K. Mills, 24, of Creswell, Oregon, on suspicion of second-degree assault. Mills allegedly purposefully struck someone with a vehicle during an argument. The victim suffered from minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital. 

Hit and Runs

• At 5:24 p.m. Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 12:33 p.m. Tuesday, a hit and run was reported in the 1000 block of South Gold Street.

Vehicle Hits Child, Leaves Minor Injuries

• At 5:24 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard, where a vehicle struck a juvenile on a bicycle. The child suffered some minor scrapes and avoided major injury due to a helmet.

Juvenile Booked for Allegedly Damaging Car

• At 7:28 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to First Street and Harrison Avenue and arrested a male juvenile on suspicion of second-degree malicious mischief. The juvenile allegedly damaged a car.

Vehicle Prowl

• At 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 400 block of West Cherry Street.

• At 10:01 a.m. Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 800 block of J Street. A GPS was stolen.

Suspect Booked for Suspended License

• At 10:06 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 100 block of West Maple Street and arrested Zachery F. Bland, 27, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license. Bland was remanded into custody by the Centralia Municipal Court judge.

Theft

• At 10:44 a.m. Tuesday, a theft was reported at a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

Trespass Suspect Booked

• At 11:23 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 100 block of West Maple Street and arrested Haylee R. Prisco, 26, of Centralia on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespass. Prisco was remanded into custody by the Centralia Municipal Court judge.

Suspect Arrested After Hit and Run

• At 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 400 block of Waunch Street and arrested Joyce A. Gerard, 63, of Centralia on suspicion of driving under the influence, after Gerard allegedly drove off the roadway and struck several parked cars.

Hit and Run, DUI Suspect Booked

• At 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 100 block of West Maple Street and arrested Micah C. Mollerstuen, 37, of Centralia on suspicion of hit and run and driving under the influence. Mollerstuen was remanded into custody by the Centralia Municipal Court judge.

Burglary

• At 2:06 p.m. Tuesday, a burglary was reported in the 2800 block of Borst Avenue. Money was stolen.

Person Arrested After Collision

• At 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 700 block of West First Street and arrested Winter K. Dan, 28, of Centralia on suspicion of second-degree driving with a suspended license after being involved with a collision.

Collision Causes Injuries

• At 8:09 p.m. Tuesday, a two-vehicle collision with injuries was reported at Centralia College Boulevard and Rock Street. The at-fault driver was issued an infraction.

Driver Cited for Suspended License

• At 4:12 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 900 block of Alder Street and cited a59-year-old Centralia man for driving with a suspended license.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Police Requested to Remove Individuals

• At 9:40 a.m. Monday, police were requested in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue to remove two individuals who were being belligerent to a business’s staff.

Hit and Run

• At 10:21 a.m. Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Folsom Street.

Harassment Over Phone Reported

• At 12:04 p.m. Monday, a caller in the 10 block of Southwest Third Street reported a random person keeps texting individuals sexually explicit messages.

Theft Suspects Cited

• At 1:53 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and cited a 35-year-old Centralia woman on suspicion of third-degree theft.

• At 3:19 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and cited a 36-year-old Federal Way man on suspicion of third-degree theft.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 241 inmates, with 204 in general population, 35 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 170 were men and 34 were women and of WERC inmates, 29 were men and six were women. A total of 39 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
