Sirens: Unknown Houseguest; Alleged Street Racing; Holiday Hijinks

Unknown Houseguest

• A resident on the 1200 block of West Chestnut Street reported finding a woman he didn’t know in his bathroom around 11:13 a.m. Friday. The woman left, but she had apparently used other items in his house as well.

Driving While License Suspended

• Robert T. Sullivan, 50, Centralia, was cited and released for third-degree driving while suspended after being stopped for a traffic violation on the 700 block of South Tower Avenue Friday.

• Emmanuel Martinez, 22, Chehalis, was cited for driving with a suspended license on the 1200 block of Mellen Street at about 12:21 a.m. Saturday.

Assault

• Natalia L. N. Velazquez, 31, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail  at around 1:21 a.m. Sunday on the 700 block of Euclid Way for fourth-degree assault. 

• Natasha A. Henry, 32, of Centralia, was arrested and booked for assault domestic violence on the 1400 block of Johnson Road at 10:46 a.m. Monday. 

Warrant/Drug Possession

• Jennie B. Young, 25, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for an outstanding warrant and possession of methamphetamine on the 1200 block Mellen Street at 9:24 a.m. Saturday.

Theft

• Theft of money by an employee of a business was reported on the 700 block of Harrison Avenue at about 1:20 p.m. Saturday. 

• A business owner on the 100 block of North Tower Avenue reported several thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise as being stolen over the past several years at about 1:04 p.m. 

Vehicle Prowl 

• A vehicle prowl was reported at 9:27 a.m. Monday. Identification and other documents were stolen from a locked vehicle overnight Monday on the 600 block of Jefferson Street.

Robbery

• A woman opened a car door and grabbed a purse sitting on the seat while a person was still inside the car on the 1300 block of Lum Road at about

5 p.m. Monday. 

 

Chehalis Police Department

Theft

• Lorrine E. McElroy, 52, Chehalis, and Tiffany A. McElroy, 20, Chehalis, were arrested and released for third-degree theft after stealing from a business on the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 9:40 p.m. Friday. 

Assault

• Peter J. Herman Jr., 31, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault on the 2000 block of Jackson Highway at about 10:24 p.m. on Sunday. He was arrested after allegedly trying to break the windows of a Jeep with a shovel. 

Burglary

• Jessica M.M. Daarud, 36, Rochester, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary and referred for third-degree theft on the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 10:20 p.m. Friday. She had been permanently banned from the store after trespassing on previous thefts. 

Alleged Street Racing

• Timothy J. Urban, 22, Centralia, was arrested and released at about 1:11 a.m. Saturday after being stopped by police on the 2000 block of North National Avenue for racing and allegedly going about 80 mph in a 30 mph zone.

• Terry G. Brown, 24, Chehalis, was arrested and released at about 1:12 a.m. Saturday after being stopped by police on the 2000 block of North National Avenue also for racing and allegedly driving about 80 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Disorderly Conduct

• Torrell M. Palmason, 23, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at about 11 p.m. Saturday on the 800 block of South Market Boulevard. 

• Alejandro Penaloza Espino, 32, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving while intoxicated at about 3:44 a.m. Sunday.

Holiday Hijinks

• Someone entered an unlocked pump on the 100 block of Coma Road in Winlock between Thursday and Friday. A tote of Christmas decor was stolen. 

Burglary

• Someone burglarized a residence on the 400 block of Coal Creek Road in Chehalis between  7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Friday. Stolen were two handguns, a video game console, a black lock box full of personal items and laptop, among other things.  

Driving While Suspended/Restraining Order Violation

• Blayden A. Zahner, 18, Castle Rock, was arrested for driving while suspended and booked into the Lewis County Jail for violating a protection order at about 1:07 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of Woodard Road in Chehalis.
