Sirens: Two Suspects Booked on Minor in Possession of Alcohol Charge, Multiple Vehicles Egged, Man Urinates Near Bus Stop

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Prowl

• At 9:19 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 700 block of North Pearl Street on a report of a vehicle prowl sometime overnight.

Thefts

• At 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, police received a report of the theft of a flash drive in the 100 block of South Silver Street.

• At 3:06 p.m. Thursday, police received a report of the theft of a rear license plate off a parked vehicle in the 200 block of West Walnut Street.

 

Suspect Arrested for Violation of Protection Order

• At 5:18 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1700 block of Military Road and arrested Christopher E. Grenier, 49, of Olympia on suspicion of violation of a protection order.

Two Suspects Booked on Minor in Possession of Alcohol Charge

• At 9:23 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to Sixth and North Pearl streets and arrested Jesus L. Martinez, 20, and Brandon A. Nino, 19, both of Centralia on suspicion of minor in possession of alcohol.

Burglary Reported

• At 11:19 a.m. Thursday, police received a report from the 900 block of G Street of a person entering a residence through a window and stealing a cellphone.

Accused Trespassers Arrested on Warrants

• At 7:15 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 600 block of K Street after receiving a report of trespassers in the home. Officers arrested Mathew C. Marthini, 38, of Winlock on suspicion of obstructing an officer, trespassing and a warrant; and Kimberly A. Wright, 41, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth, trespassing and a warrant. 

Car Crash With Injuries

• At 4:03 a.m. Friday, police received a report of a vehicle crash with injuries in the 100 block of South Gold Street. The car had collided with a pole, and the driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor.

Multiple Vehicles Egged

• At 6:40 a.m. Friday, police received a report from the 1400 block of Johnson Road of multiple vehicles being “egged” overnight.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Man Urinates Near Bus Stop

• At 4:19 p.m. Wednesday, police received a complaint of a man urinating by a bus stop in the 1500 block of Northeast Louisiana Avenue. Reports indicate the man was “causing quite a scene.”

Suspicious Persons

• At 4:49 p.m. Wednesday, police received  a report from the Chamber of Commerce that two men came in and seemed “up to no good.” The caller said the men asked her about camping locations where they didn’t have to be around anyone, and then leaned on the counter to see if anyone else was in the office. No arrests were reported.

• At 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, police received a complaint that a group of people appeared to be moving into her rental house in the 1100 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. The caller was not on-site but was alerted by a neighbor. The caller also advised they were unable to evict the person currently living in the rental house, and was unsure if the tenant was allowing the group to move in. No arrests were reported.

• At 9:19 p.m. Wednesday, police received a call from the 1700 block of South Market Street from a caller claiming they chased a suspicious man off a porch. The man was asking for cigarettes. A second male was hiding behind a tree. The caller felt they were “casing” the house. No arrests were reported.

Assault Reported After Photo Taken of Alleged Drug Activity

• At 10:52 p.m., police received a report from the 1700 block of South Market Boulevard that a female shoved the caller after the caller took a picture of a vehicle license plate suspected of being used for drug activity. The female suspect and the vehicle left the scene.

Dispute Reported in Walmart Parking Lot

• At 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, police received a report of a man and a woman in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The woman was heard saying, “Leave me alone,” and the man was heard cursing at the woman. The man then ran.

Suspicious Vehicle

• At 11:57 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report of a suspicious vehicle pulling into a parking lot in the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue with its lights off.

Vehicle Prowl

• At 6:17 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 200 block of Southeast Adams Avenue.

Police Receive Report of Man, Passed Out, with a Knife

• At  7:53 a.m. Thursday, police received a report from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue of a male passed out with a knife open. No arrest was reported.

Stolen Property Recovered

• At 8:30 a.m. Thursday, police received a report of stolen items found inside a bathroom in the 600 block of Northwest Arkansas Way. The items included credit cards, shorts, socks, a backpack and a hat.

Accused Shoplifter Arrested

• At 2:18 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue on report of a shoplifter and arrested Shawna L. Mathew, 46, of Olympia on suspicion of theft in the third degree.

Burglary

• At 4:10 p.m. Thursday, police received a report of a burglary in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street of items including a sports bag, phone, Nike shoes, clothes and a tablet.

Report of Girl In PJs Running Down Hill

• At 7:41 p.m. Thursday, police received a report of a 12- or 13-year-old girl in pajamas and with a blanket, running down a hill and looking over her shoulder in the area of 16th and Prospect streets.

Assault Reported

• At 12:44 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 1500 block of Southwest Kelly Avenue on a report of an assault, and arrested Cheyanne M. Kelly, 35, of Chehalis on suspicion of assault in the fourth degree.

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 213 inmates, including 177 in general population, 35 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 141 were men and 36 were women and of WERC inmates, 30 were men and 5 were women. A total of 37 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
