CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Suspects Booked for Impersonation

• At 10:34 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue and arrested Sharlee P. Kelly, 38, and Jeffrey J. Palermo, 37, both of Centralia were arrested on suspicion of criminal impersonation. Both allegedly provided names of other people when police contacted them, to avoid arrest on outstanding warrants. According to police, Palermo didn’t have a warrant out for his arrest, but he believed he did. He identified himself as an individual who actually did have an outstanding warrant.

Thefts

• At 11:22 a.m. Wednesday, a shoplifting incident was reported from a business in the 100 block of West High Street.

• At 3:39 p.m. Wednesday, a possibly shoplifting incident was reported from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 1:53 p.m. Thursday, a theft of a washer, dryer and freezer was reported in the 300 block of North Diamond Street.

Window Shot by BB Gun

• At 2:34 p.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 1200 block of Mellen Street reported damage to a window that was apparently caused by a BB gun. 

Person Seen Riding on Vehicle Hood

• At 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 400 block of South Cedar Street reported a female subject was being driven around on the hood of a vehicle. As a result, police arrested Seth P. Macfarlane, 23, of Tacoma on suspicion of second-degree reckless endangerment and a female juvenile on a felony charge.

Suspect Booked for Allegedly Violating Order, Warrants

• At 3:06 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 100 block of Shirlee Avenue and arrested Tanner D. Meeks, 29, of Centralia on suspicion of violating a protection order and on two Centralia Municipal Court warrants.

Vehicle Prowl

• At 8:46 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 900 block of Woodland Avenue. Someone broke into the car and tried to take a stereo, causing some damage to the dashboard.

Driver Cited for Suspended License

• At 10:48 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 700 block of Harrison Avenue and cited a 38-year-old Centralia woman on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

Malicious Mischief Suspect Booked

• At 12:34 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road and arrested Kody J.R. Foster, 25, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief. Foster allegedly damaged a soap and paper towel dispenser by punching them.

Two Arrested, Released for Allegedly Stealing Sushi Roll, Beer

• At 2:47 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested and released a 38-year-old and a 40-year-old Winlock resident on suspicion of third-degree theft. The two allegedly stole a sushi roll and two beers.

Person Cited for Repeated 911 Calls

• At 7:18 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of West Pine Street and cited a 70-year-old Centralia woman on suspicion of repeatedly calling 911 when there was no emergency.

DUI Suspect Booked

• At 7:51 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1000 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Domingo O. Montejo, 53, of Chehalis on suspicion of driving under the influence. Montejo allegedly struck five parked vehicles while driving before being apprehended.

Car Keyed

• At 2:04 a.m. Friday, a caller in the 1400 block of Oxford Avenue reported that someone keyed his car. 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Prowl

• At 8:28 a.m. Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 2500 block of North National Avenue. Someone stole a videogame console from a vehicle.

Burglary Reported

• At 12:09 p.m. Wednesday, a residential burglary was reported in the 400 block of Southwest William Avenue.

Theft Suspect Booked

• At 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Rachel A. Calvert, 28, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Assault Reported

• At 8:22 p.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 1900 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue reported that someone punched another person in the head.

Person Steals Vehicle, Debit Card

• At 8:43 p.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue reported a woman took a man’s debit card and ran away with the man chasing her. She then allegedly stole the man’s car.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 235 inmates, with  204 in general population, 30 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 165 were men and 39 were women and of WERC inmates, 25 were men and five were women. A total of 12 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
