Sirens: Suspect Accused of Assaulting Officers; Copper Cable Stolen; Person Reportedly Uses Stolen Card to Buy Gas

Centralia Police Department

Suspect Accused of Assaulting Officers

• At 11:43 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a dispute in the 200 block of West Oakview Avenue and ended up arresting Ryan J. Dunn, 40, of Centralia, on suspicion of third-degree assault. 

Shoplifting Suspects Cited

• At 12:27 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 500 block of Tower Avenue and cited Christopher T. Woolam, 50, of Centralia, on suspicion of shoplifting. 

• At 7:26 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested and released David P. Sittler, 59, of Lacey, on suspicion of third-degree theft. He was accused of shoplifting alcohol and grocery items. 

 Copper Cable Stolen

• At 3:39 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of a theft of copper cable used for electrical systems in the 600 block of West Pearl Street. An investigation is ongoing. Officers are reviewing surveillance footage. 

Suspects Arrested on Assault Charges

• At 6:34 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 1200 block of Alder Street and arrested Chrystyan D. Fisher, 27, of Centralia, on suspicion of assault.

• At 8:19 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 2800 block of Russell Road. Brian C. Smith, 45, of Centralia, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Antoinette K. Smith, 52, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, third-degree theft and attempted unlawful imprisonment.  

• At 9:24 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 800 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia and arrested Jason W. Dix, 45, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault 

Hit and Run

• At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, a hit and run was reported in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road in Centralia. According to the police department, the amount of damage indicated a large truck was involved. 

Man Accused of Dining and Dashing

• At 4:40 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia and arrested David P. Sittler, 59, of Lacey, on suspicion of third-degree theft. He was accused of consuming a meal at a restaurant and leaving without paying. 

Chehalis Police Department 

Hit and Run

• At 12:16 p.m. on Wednesday, a hit and run was reported in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Boulevard.

Person Reportedly Uses Stolen Card to Buy Gas

• At 8:26 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a person using a stolen card at a gas station in the 600 block of National Avenue. 

Accused Shoplifters Arrested

• At 11:09 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Jacob S. Lindstrom, 37, of Centralia, on suspicion of third-degree theft. He was also arrested on suspicion of trafficking in stolen property in a theft that allegedly occurred on Nov. 27. 

• At 2:23 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The suspect reportedly fled but was later arrested. Pete F. Deyoung was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft. 

Teen Accused of Stealing Computers From School

• At 2:08 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a student stealing Chromebook laptops from W.F. West High School in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street. The 14-year-old boy was arrested and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention on suspicion of second-degree theft. 

Scam Calls Reported

• At 3:11 p.m. on Thursday, a person in the 1100 block of Northwest State Avenue reported getting scam phone calls. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 218 inmates, including 188 in general population, 28 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 154 were male and 34 were female and of WERC inmates, 26 were male and two female.
